Timber Systems

SUNPLAN SYSTEMS quality timber systems, cut and assembled with precision, determine the benchmark for the finished quality of our products. The highest standards of manufacture provide a perfect and extremely simple operation that requires virtually no maintenance, guaranteeing trouble- free use for years to come. As market leaders we know what is important in the area of folding door window systems. Selected timbers (Meranti and Pine are standard, other timbers available on request) are processed by the factory as multilaminated boded strips and stabilised at particular stress points by means of invisible metal inserts and will not shrink, expand or wrap unlike most other timber door systems which become difficult to operate with the passage of time.

Our timber folding systems are rigid and fulfil maximum sealing standards which are ideal for either internal or external use. The timber can be stained or, alternatively, painted and sealed to the client's specifications. We only use water based sealants that contain no noxious solvents, and so the natural character of the timber is perfectly preserved. Quality construction, material selection and craftsmanship guarantee that, even after many years of use, our systems will operate just as easily as when first installed. Our high quality standards apply throughout, therefore we can offer you the simplest of operation combined with the excellent security features.

Choice of Timber Systems

Nordic Pine, Meranti or European Spruce available as standard. Other species such as Oak and Iroko can be specified for external applications, or Beech, Maple and Hemlock for internal applications, are available at additional cost.
Furniture quality finish is achieved using environmentally friendly micro-porous water-based timber stains and colours from the Sikkens colour range. Our finishes are designed for maximum protection of the timber with minimum maintenance.

The Sunplan Systems Timber range provides a versatile choice of superbly crafted folding doors with matching windows, sliding panels, fixed panels and entry doors. With careful selection of Timber species and finishes the range of applications is almost limitless including complete glazing envelopes for home and swimming pools, shop and restaurant fronts, and internal partitioning for churches, offices and homes.

Timber is selected only from sustainable sources and is of the highest quality. Profiles are first multi-laminated to ensure strength, prior to machining in the state of the art joinery works. In order to maintain quality control most products are factory finished and pre-glazed where practical.

Stability is vital with Timber sliding and folding doors and some customers have experienced problems with Timberen doors hung on 'off the shelf' rolling gear. Unless the system is precision-made the doors will stick or leak.
The Sunplan Systems range is only available as a complete engineered solution, combining careful selection of Timber species with ingenious patented locking and sealing devices. This is your guarantee of a folding system which is easy to operate, highly stable and completely sealed.

Running gear will cope with heavier weights than other systems All rollers, trolleys & locks are thoroughly tested to 20,000 operations
