| Weather proofing to rely on
Testing every step of the way – that's the only way to guarantee performance.
Rigorous proofing in the in-house laboratory of all components ensures perfect
design and, finally, independent authorisation from the Institute of Window Technology,
Rosenheim. Sunplan achieves Group 'B' and more
importantly Group 'C' Certificates to DIN 18055. A rating not currently achieved
by other systems. How our weather
tests are carried out Classification to
DIN 18055 – Performance Group C • Tested system SL
70, SL 50, SL 66, SL 67, SL 68 A 3 panel system is subjected to air pressure
of 600 Pascals with water sprays in a laboratory. This is equivalent to a 120
m.p.h. hurricane force wind with driving rain. At the same time the system is
continuously reversed to flex the components backwards and forwards.
The system is then opened and closed 10,000 times and the test repeated.
There is NO leakage of water up to 600 Pascals and less than 1/4 of the permitted
air leakage. Test standards determine the maximum permissible air leak rate. A
single drop of water passing through the system would mean that the system would
fail the test. Classification to DIN 18055 –
Performance Group B • Tested system SL 35, SL 45, SL 65
As above at 300 Pascals, equivalent to a 60 m.p.h. wind with driving rain.
There is NO leakage of water up to 300 Pascals and less than the permitted
air leakage. New EuroNorm Tests
As part of our programme of continual product testing many of our systems are
now available tested to the latest EuroNorm standards Component
Tests • Rollers tested in 20,000 operation without any visible
sign of wear and tear. • 180° turn handles pressure checked
up to 1,000 Pascals. Only trust laboratory
tested and certified systems
